Technical assistance for consolidating and extending the Ampotaka – Tsihombe solar pipelines
As part of a UNICEF-funded programme, we are helping to improve access to drinking water for 40,000 people in 10 urban centres in the Androy region of southern Madagascar. The project involves reinforcing a 56 km pipeline and extending it by 27 km, guaranteeing a reliable and sustainable water supply. Our expertise covers the technical validation of preliminary detailed designs (PDD), tender documents (DAO) and execution plans, as well as rigorous monitoring of the works. We carry out hydraulic modelling to optimise network operation and reduce energy consumption, while analysing and validating the proposed solar systems. We also check the conformity of equipment orders and ensure strict control of the work right through to technical acceptance. Thanks to this technical and methodical approach, we are helping to build sustainable infrastructure tailored to the needs of local populations, thereby improving access to drinking water in a region facing major water-related challenges.
